To teach thyself to see

June 5, 2009

To find understanding you have to look for it. If you search for it, there is much to be seen. Just start asking yourself “is that all?” or “what if what they said had nothing to do with it, did?” or “what if i’m wrong?”

Look for the issue behind the topic argued, and you can start to understand people.

Sometimes we have roadblocks; things we don’t allow ourselves to think about. We have prejudices and fears that keep us from seeing.

Sometimes our beliefs blow things out of proportion or make it into less of a deal.

We have to be open to listen and consider things we normally dismiss, just so we can be honest with ourselves.

Just some thoughts.
